Data controller

Adrien Daniel Claude Maillard EI, a sole proprietor trading as Folio Studio, 15 rue de Montbret, 76000 Rouen, France, is responsible for data received for Sort That Trash support and testing. Contact: contact@sortthattrash.com.

What stays on your device

The game stores language, sound, reduced motion, completed guidance, records and a limited history. Survival keeps twenty recent results and, when available, details of the last two attempts: gestures, mistakes, sorting, events and playing time. These measurements support local statistics and manual diagnosis. There is no automatic transmission.

Export and deletion

Exporting JSON is a manual action. You then decide whether to share it. Data stays in app or browser storage until removed; older history entries are replaced. Any system backups are managed by Apple, Google or your device. Support cannot restore a record from a game server.

When you contact support

Your email address, message and any attachments or exports you choose to send are used to answer your request, diagnose the issue and follow up. Processing is based on the publisher’s legitimate interest in providing support. Adrien Maillard alone reads these messages and exports, apart from technical providers needed to deliver and host them, including OVHcloud/Zimbra. Correspondence is retained while the request is handled, then for no more than two years after the last contact, unless a legal obligation or dispute requires otherwise. You may request deletion. It is not used for advertising or newsletters and is not sold.

Store testing

TestFlight and internal then closed Google Play tests are planned; candidates have not been uploaded. If you join a test, Apple or Google processes registration, installation, diagnostics and feedback under its own policies. The publisher may receive your name, account email, comments and diagnostics shared by the platform. These are used only to organise tests and fix the game, based on the legitimate interest in maintaining its quality. Received copies follow the support rule: handling and follow-up, then no more than two years after the last contact, unless required for legal obligations or disputes. Platforms apply their own retention periods. The game does not automatically send your save data.

This website

The site loads fonts, images and scripts from its own hosting. It uses no Analytics cookies or advertising tags. The selected language is part of the URL, with no stored preference. No measurement service is active. The host Vercel processes technical data needed to deliver and secure pages, including IP address, browser, date and requested URL, based on the legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

Providers, technical retention and transfers

OVHcloud/Zimbra provides email hosting; Vercel is selected for the public site. Their access is limited to the needs of their services. Technical data is retained for service delivery, security, legal obligations and dispute handling as described in their documents. The two-year support period does not describe provider log or backup retention. Some processing may occur outside the European Union, including in the United States for Vercel. Its contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable, are set out in its data processing agreement. Provider information is linked below.

Your requests and future versions

You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction of data you have shared, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, subject to applicable conditions. Write to contact@sortthattrash.com. You may also contact the CNIL. Support cannot access your local game data. Advertising, remote measurement, synchronisation or accounts will require an update to this page before activation.
